What is Drive Greener

Our Goals

Drive greener^TM offers individuals, businesses and organizations a way to reduce their impact on global warming. Cooler Skies Company, the owner of drivegreener.com was created, to support alternative energy projects by selling carbon offsets from them. We want to the first “fair-trade energy company”.

Our ultimate goal is to reduce the amount of CO2 in the atmosphere by building and/or financing clean energy projects which reduce CO2 emissions.

By selling carbon offsets from the clean energy projects we can displace dirtier energy sources and their pollution. For example, the Weber County Landfill Gas Recovery project is located in a state that produces over 94% of its electricity from burning coal.

Our story begins in April 2002, Blue Sky Energy Corporation, under its President, Jack Boyle got the go ahead to build the landfill gas recovery project in Weber County Utah.

Jack persevered for 3 years in spearheading the project and the plant is now up and running and displacing dirtier coal-fired electricity generation in Utah. The project, with your support will produce over 1.5 billion pounds of CO2 offsets over its lifetime.

Fast forward to the present, the seed of the idea to sell the offsets directly to concerned individuals, businesses and other environmentally conscientious organizations to counteract the emissions from driving and travel has its roots in the past, but with the Cooler Skies Company, it’s our future. Jack is back.

As the President, Jack is the driving force behind the company. His vision is to help take alternative energy mainstream.

We all contribute to global warming. When we use electricity generated from coal or drive our cars which burn gasoline or fly in an airplane powered by jet fuel.
